尊敬的各位来宾，女士们、先生们、朋友们，上午好！今天，美丽的山城重庆高鹏云集，第一届中国南方喀斯特国际学术论坛在重庆开幕了。受邀而来的国家建设部的领导，国内外喀斯特专家学者会聚一堂，共同探讨“中国南方喀斯特”世界自然遗产科学保护和永续利用，探讨世界自然遗产与统筹城乡的发展关系，为全人类自然遗产的可持续发展出谋划策。在此，我谨代表重庆市人民政府向各位来宾表示最热烈的欢迎和最衷心的感谢！
在今年6月27日，第31届世界遗产大会上，“中国南方喀斯特”成功列入世界遗产名录。“中国南方喀斯特”在喀斯特特征和地貌景观方面的多样性是无与伦比的，它是由云南石林、贵州林坡、重庆武隆三个相关联的片区组成的宏伟的自然遗产，这些壮观的喀斯特有着世界的品质。
武隆喀斯特作为重庆市第一个世界遗产，不仅让我们从世界的角度重新认识自己的宝贵资源，更要求我们按照世界的标准保护和管理好这宝贵的资源。此次“中国南方喀斯特”国际学术论坛的召开，旨在就世界自然遗产保护和利用方面为决策者相关专家构筑平台，我们特别感谢来自世界各国的专家不远万里来到重庆，而且直接深入到武隆喀斯特人迹罕至的后坪天坑进行实地考察，大家都感觉非常兴奋，感觉“中国南方喀斯特”是无与伦比，是有很高的价值，主要是我们自己的研究工作还要尽快跟上。我们真诚希望大家在这个论坛上增进了解，加强合作，畅所欲言，为世界自然遗产保护和发展提供科学的指导和建议。
